Lieutenant Colonel Carr served 25 years as an enlisted Marine and Marine officer in the infantry, force reconnaissance and special operations communities. His assignments also included an exchange tour with the British Royal Marine Commandos, three years assigned to a force reconnaissance unit overseas, as well as combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He completed 10 overseas deployments and retired as the acting 6th Marine Regimental Commander.
