John Ilif graduated from the University of Kansas and followed in his father's footsteps of becoming an Army Green Beret. After completing the Green Beret's rigorous qualification course, special operations medical course and High Altitude Parachutist course he deployed to train the Columbian Special Forces as well as deploying to combat in Afghanistan. After 12 years of service he left the Army to focus on his family, children and a special needs son. He is an entrepreneur who started his own medical device sales business, Viking Surgical and has several inspirational examples in his story.
